The Turning | Green Aventurine & Brass Pendant
Some stones feel like opening a door.
This one is deep green, the colour of pine at dusk, of moss holding the last of the warmth. Aventurine is traditionally a stone of opportunity, long carried for luck and steady good fortune.
The Turning holds it in a fine silver bezel on a brass base, hammered and shaped by hand at my bench. Three small silver granules rest at its edge like seeds. On the back, a sterling silver spiral curls into the bail, the path of becoming, there every time you turn it over.
For the woman standing at the edge of a season, who doesn't need to see the whole path to take the next step.
The Magic Within
Deep green aventurine is traditionally a stone of opportunity and heart-centred growth. It is associated with luck that builds slowly and steadily, and with meeting what comes next with an open hand.
Brass is the earth beneath you, warm and steady. Silver is intuition, the soft light of the moon. Together they hold the stone the way autumn holds the last green.
The spiral is the path of becoming. You do not return to where you began. You return at a higher turn.
I made this for the Threshold Collection, to honour the changing of the seasons. Wear it when you are standing in the in-between, deciding what comes with you.

Care: Brass develops a natural patina over time, part of its story. Gently polish with a soft cloth if you prefer it bright.
