Customized Gemstone Bracelets

For simpler, stone-focused pieces (gemstone bracelets, beaded designs, curated stone selections):

  • Investment begins at $200 CAD
  • No design fee required
  • 50% non-refundable deposit to begin work
  • Remaining balance due before shipping
  • Timeline: 2–4 weeks from deposit

Perfect for clients who know the stones they want and are seeking a beautifully crafted, intentional piece without extensive design development.

True Custom Talismans (Rings, Pendants, Necklaces)

For fully custom, one-of-a-kind pieces that require design development, sketching, and material sourcing:

Step 1: Design Fee

$500 CAD non-refundable design fee covers:

  • Initial consultation and vision alignment
  • Design development and sketching
  • Material sourcing research (stones, metals, symbols)
  • Up to 2 rounds of design revisions
  • Finalized design approval

This fee honours my time, expertise, and creative labor before any metalwork begins. It ensures we're fully aligned before I invest in materials and studio time.

Step 2: Materials Deposit

Once design is approved, 50% of the quoted piece price is due to cover:

  • Sourcing and purchasing gemstones
  • Purchasing metals
  • Reserving studio time for your piece

This deposit is non-refundable, as materials are sourced specifically for your talisman.

Step 3: Final Payment

Remaining 50% due before shipping.

Timeline:

6–8 weeks from design approval (sometimes sooner, depending on materials and complexity).

  • Customized Gemstone Bracelet: $250–$400+
  • Custom Ring (simple): $500 design fee + $400 piece = $900 total

FAQ for Custom Magick Pieces

Why is there a design fee for custom talismans?

The $500 design fee honours the creative and strategic work that happens before any metal is touched. This includes consultation, design development, sketching, material research, and up to 2 rounds of revisions. It ensures we're fully aligned on your vision before I invest in materials and studio time.

This fee is standard in high-end custom jewellery and protects both of us from miscommunication or wasted resources.

Is the design fee applied to my final piece cost?

No. The design fee isseparateand covers the creative labor of bringing your vision to life on paper. The 50% deposit (Step 2) covers materials and studio time for the actual crafting.

What's the difference between a customized bracelet and a true custom talisman?

  • Customized Gemstone Bracelets are simpler, stone-focused pieces where you choose the stones and I create the design. No sketching or extensive design development required.
  • True Custom Talismans (rings, pendants, necklaces) require full design development, sketching, material sourcing, and metalsmithing. These pieces are fully one-of-a-kind and require the $500 design fee.

Do I need to know exactly what I want?

No. Many of my clients come to me with afeeling, not a design. Share your intention, your story, your struggle, and I'll help translate that into a talisman that holds it all.

Can I see sketches before I pay the design fee?

The design feeincludesthe sketching process. Once you've paid the fee and completed the consultation, I'll create initial sketches for your review and refinement (up to 2 rounds of revisions).

What if I change my mind after paying the design fee?

The design fee isnon-refundable, as it compensates me for the time and creative energy already invested. However, if you decide not to move forward with the piece after design approval, you'll keep the sketches and design concept for future use.

Can I make changes once the piece is in progress?

Minor adjustments may be possible early in the metalsmithing process. Significant changes after materials are purchased and work has begun are not possible, as the piece is handcrafted specifically for you.

Do you offer payment plans?

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! I ship worldwide. International shipping costs vary by location and will be quoted before final payment.

How are pieces blessed?

Every talisman is ritually cleansed and blessed before it journeys to you. The blessing honours your intention and prepares the piece to support your path.

What if my piece arrives damaged?

Please inspect your order upon arrival. If anything arrives damaged or incorrect, contact me within 7 days (with photos) at hello@jewellerybyjn.com, and I'll make it right.

Can I gift a custom piece?

Absolutely! Custom pieces make deeply meaningful gifts. You can complete the form on behalf of the recipient, or we can arrange a gift consultation.
