Meet Jessica Nicole

Metalsmith & Founder, Jewellery by JN

This is me - exactly as I am when I'm forging your talisman.

If you're here, you're probably not looking for 'just jewellery.'

You're looking for something that feels like you. Something that holds meaning. Something that reminds you of who you're becoming when the world gets loud.

I see you. Because I've been you.

The Origin

My name is Jessica Nicole - metalsmith and founder of Jewellery by JN.

This work was born from the quiet, alchemical spaces between loss and healing; a practice shaped by grief, resilience, and the slow, fierce return to self.

It began not as a business, but as a lifeline.

In the span of a few years, my world shifted completely. I lost my sister Kat. I moved away from my family - right before the world shut down for COVID. I graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Design in Metalsmithing, all while working full-time, carrying grief, and quietly trying to understand my own voice through my heritage; European and Mohawk, woven together through memory and longing, honouring what had been lost across generations.

One month after graduating, I became a mother for the first time.

During my maternity leave, I was laid off.

And instead of fear, I felt something else: clarity.

It was a sign I couldn't ignore - that it was time to work directly in my craft, on my own terms. I haven't looked back since.

Four silver-toned necklaces with oval iridescent pendants engraved with zodiac symbols are arranged on a black surface alongside crystals, a brass candlestick with a lit candle, and purple amethyst stones.

For the Woman Who Is Reclaiming Herself

Maybe you're in a transition.

Maybe you're remembering parts of yourself you were told to forget.

Maybe you're learning tarot, exploring your magic, or simply trying to ground yourself in the chaos.

Maybe you need silence when the world is screaming.

You're not looking for trends. You're looking for anchors. Talismans.

Wearable rituals that remind you: you are held. You are seen. You are becoming.

That's what I make here.

How I Work

I work from my studio in Lincoln, Ontario, guided by slowness and reverence.

Each piece is slow-made, blessed, and energetically cleared before it leaves my hands. I don't mass-produce. I don't chase trends. I craft ritual adornments for women who value meaning over decoration.

My materials are chosen with care and consciousness:

  • Sterling silver, fine silver, copper, brass and gold
  • Upcycled metals, when available - always noted on the individual pieces
  • Semi-precious stones sourced from Canadian suppliers
  • Packaging that honours the earth

Every collection is inspired by the cycles of the moon, ancestral memory, and the wild-hearted women who wear these pieces as talismans for their own journeys.

A beaded bracelet with light green and white beads rests on a light green book on a wooden table, surrounded by candles, an open book, crystals, and dried lavender in a cozy, dimly lit setting.

If This Feels Like Home

Thank you for being here.

Thank you for supporting slow craft, for honouring story, and for allowing my work to become part of your ritual.

I'm honoured to walk this path with you.

With gratitude and magick,

Jessica Nicole
