The Opening | Green Aventurine, Copper & Brass Ring

Some rings you wear. Some you step into.

The stone is a soft, living green, lighter than the forest and gentler than the pine, with a glow that moves when your hand does. Aventurine is traditionally a stone of opportunity, long carried for luck and steady good fortune.

The Opening sets it in a copper crown, a delicate gallery of tiny points that I shaped and fitted by hand, resting on an oval brass plate. The band is open at the back, two brass wires that let you slide it on and settle it where it feels right. Nothing closed. Nothing forced.

For the woman who is ready to meet what comes next with her hands open.

The Magic Within

The in-between of autumn is not a wall. It is a door, and it opens when you are ready to walk through.

Green aventurine is traditionally associated with opportunity and heart-centred growth. I think of it as the stone of the first step, and this one has a softness to it that feels like a deep breath.

Copper is the metal of conduction. It carries warmth, current and intention, and here it crowns the stone, as if to say that what you hope for can move through you.

Brass is the earth beneath it, steady and warm. Together they hold the stone the way a doorway holds the light.

I made this for the Threshold Collection, to honour the changing of the seasons.

Care: Copper and brass develop a natural patina over time, part of their story. Gently polish with a soft cloth if you prefer them bright. Please remove before washing hands or swimming, and keep away from lotions.
