My hands have always known stones; texture most of all, and colour. Creativity has always lived in me: as a child, I gathered rocks, my first treasures, and built with anything textured. Painting, drawing, sewing, and beadwork followed. I didn’t know why; it simply felt instinctual, as if the earth itself was guiding my fingers.

Years later, in the tidal rhythms of early motherhood, I lost touch with that creative part of myself. Maybe you, too, have felt that longing for something grounding, something to bring you back to yourself when life feels overwhelming. For me, beading and metalsmithing became medicine.

The stones spoke, the metal fuelled my fire, and with every piece, I found my way home.They weren’t just beautiful. Each stone held energy, memory, and messages. Guiding my hands, revealing their own designs, and offering strength. That’s when I realized I wasn’t simply creating; I was keeping.
