The Beaver Moon | The Bright Work Beneath the Surface
A reflection on preparation, patience, and the unseen rhythm of creation.
On November 5, the Beaver Moon rose full and bright; a supermoon, the closest and most luminous of the year. Traditionally, this moon marked a time of gathering, building, and preparing for the quiet of winter.
Under its light, I found myself finishing small details, polishing metal, grounding in the slow rhythm of making. It reminded me that creation isn’t always motion, sometimes it’s the pause before the next breath.
This season has asked for stillness. For me, that means trusting the quiet work that happens off-camera: the sketches, the soldering, the silent hours. The work that holds everything together once the light returns.
